Mark Wahlberg’s Christology

Recently, Mark Wahlberg (a.k.a. Marky Mark, brother of Donnie Wahlberg of New Kid’s on the Block shame–I mean fame) was the subject of an SNL spoof where Andy Samburg did an impersonation of him.  It was called “Mark Wahlberg Talks to Animals.”  It was hilarious.  If you haven’t seen it, click here to see it.

Marky Mark was recently on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and Kimmel brought up the skit.  Apparently, Marky Mark didn’t like it.  It’s rumored, however, that he will appear on SNL tomorrow night.

Anywho…

Here’s a clip of his interview with Jimmy Kimmel.  The reference to the SNL spoof starts at 2:08.  Pay attention to what Wahlberg says at the 3:43 mark (there is some bleep out profanity)…

Wahlberg is a practicing Catholic… and his Christology (at least who Jesus hung out with) is right on.  If only those of us who claim to be Christians could get that in our heads and then live it out everyday, we would be making much more progress in the spreading of the kingdom.

About Aaron

Aaron is a follower of Jesus. He's married to his smokin' hot wife Laura and is the father of three adorable girls. He enjoys a robust cigar, a complex root beer, a good movie, writing, football, thought-provoking books, and rousing discussions about subjects you're not supposed to talk about (like theology and politics). Religious people irritate him (because he once was one). He's on a quest to find the perfect dry rub and sauce for ribs.

Here’s another great thought from Wahlberg…

“I’m drug free so put the crack up!” – Marky Mark

  2. Laura says:

“No need for speed I’m the anti D-R-U-G-G-I-E my body is healthy, my rhymes make me wealthy and the Funky Bunch helps me, to bring you a show with no intoxication, come on and feel the vibration! “. I could go on. But I’ll spare you.

    Too late…
