Week in NC: Relaxing

OK, there’s won’t be much time for this at all.  We didn’t get to NC until late yesterday afternoon (more on why tomorrow), and we have to come back on Friday evening.  But it’s always good to pull into the in-law’s driveway.  The girls love their “Papa Tom” and “Grammy Ida Faye”, as do we.  I have the best in-laws ever.  The rest of you should be jealous.

We always go see Laura’s Granny Keech.  She’s 90 and living with her daughter (Laura’s Aunt “Tinker”).  She loves to see our girls.

We also go see Laura’s brother and his family.  They just added a new face to their family, Zachary.

And I absolutely must get several Acre Station Meat Farm (yeah, you read that correctly… Meat Farm) cheese biscuits.  A heart attack in the palm of your hand–the equivalent of two Grands biscuits with a LOAD of shredded colby in the middle.  The grease soaks through the wax paper and bag.  Totally worth it!

Tomorrow, I’ll tell you why we left on Saturday morning, but didn’t make it to NC until late Sunday afternoon…

About Aaron

Aaron is a follower of Jesus. He's married to his smokin' hot wife Laura and is the father of three adorable girls. He enjoys a robust cigar, a complex root beer, a good movie, writing, football, thought-provoking books, and rousing discussions about subjects you're not supposed to talk about (like theology and politics). Religious people irritate him (because he once was one). He's on a quest to find the perfect dry rub and sauce for ribs.
