Week in NC: Checkin’ Out Greenville

I’m spending this week filling you in on what we’ll be doing this week in NC.  We want to spend at least one day in Greenville (hopefully two, but that’s going to be awfully tight).  Since Greenville is where we’re headed, we want to go ahead and get a jump on checking out houses, neighborhoods, and schools for the girls.

The good news about Greenville–housing is less expensive there than it is here (Harrisonburg and Rockingham County have always been a little inflated).  Lord-willing, we’ll make some decent money on our home here (while real estate has ground down to a crawl, we’re not seeing homes sell for less than their buying price here, which is good), and be able to put down a good downpayment on our next home.  We’re hoping to move to a neighborhood with families with kids so that our youngin’s can make friends really soon once we move.  But we’ll see what God has in store.

We’ve been scoping out stuff up here for several months, trying to get a feel for the city, but nothing beats actually going there.

Tomorrow, I’ll tell you what else we want to do in Greenville while we’re here.

About Aaron

Aaron is a follower of Jesus. He's married to his smokin' hot wife Laura and is the father of three adorable girls. He enjoys a robust cigar, a complex root beer, a good movie, writing, football, thought-provoking books, and rousing discussions about subjects you're not supposed to talk about (like theology and politics). Religious people irritate him (because he once was one). He's on a quest to find the perfect dry rub and sauce for ribs.
