House Update #5

We got some feedback from a potential buyer this week.  They are looking into loan options, but have one concern… the lot behind us is a little junky (the people who own it have some storage trailers on the lot… it needs to be straightened up).  We wish it were something under our control, like painting a room, but it’s not.  The good news is that they’re still very interested, as they’re looking for financing.

We also have an open house scheduled for Sunday.  That means I’ve got a lot of cleaning to do tonight and tomorrow.  It’s tough to keep a house staged with two girls!

And, the tree is still down in our backyard.  I feel bad for my neighbor (she isn’t the one with the junky lot)–she calls me every other day to let me know how it’s going with her insurance company… which isn’t very well.  My insurance company has someone out within 72 hours (and that’s slow).  It’s been over two weeks…

So, for you all who are praying for us, keep praying!  I know we are.  Thanks!

About Aaron

Aaron is a follower of Jesus. He's married to his smokin' hot wife Laura and is the father of three adorable girls. He enjoys a robust cigar, a complex root beer, a good movie, writing, football, thought-provoking books, and rousing discussions about subjects you're not supposed to talk about (like theology and politics). Religious people irritate him (because he once was one). He's on a quest to find the perfect dry rub and sauce for ribs.

Hey. What’s all that white stuff all over your front yard?

    • Aaron says:

They call that snow. Don’t worry, the pic is from February 3. It’s the only significant snow we’ve had this year. We’ve got another 3-5 weeks where we could get snow, and that’s about it. In about 5-6 weeks, the yard will be greening up, and then the house will really pop (if it hasn’t sold by then).
