There goes the BOOM!

John Madden has retired

NFL play-by-play will never be the same.  Madden has been the standard for sports broadcasting, especially pro football, for thirty years.  This year’s Super Bowl was his last game, and it was a great one.  Madden was also a great coach.  His winning percentage is the best of all time, and he did it at an age before most guys get a chance to be a head coach in the NFL.  And the video game that bears his name is the best selling title every year.

The BOOM! will be missed.  As will the turdukens every Thanksgiving.

About Aaron

Aaron is a follower of Jesus. He's married to his smokin' hot wife Laura and is the father of three adorable girls. He enjoys a robust cigar, a complex root beer, a good movie, writing, football, thought-provoking books, and rousing discussions about subjects you're not supposed to talk about (like theology and politics). Religious people irritate him (because he once was one). He's on a quest to find the perfect dry rub and sauce for ribs.
