Preachers, Churches, and Beef Nachos

I had the chance last evening to hang out with Tim Turner, preacher at Christ’s Church (which is just outside of Greenville).  Our families got together at a local Mexican place and just hung out.  And when two preachers get together, look out.

We talked about the history of the churches that we started.  Christ’s Church has a really interesting history, and they’re doing some great things in the Greenville area.  Tim and I are going to get together once a month for mutual coaching and mentoring.  It’s so cool to know a guy who’s all about different expressions of the kingdom–he’s in a more traditionally structured church of 300+, and we’re starting simple churches… and he’s all about it.  I’m looking forward to hanging out with Tim and our churches eventually working together to take back Greenville and beyond for the kingdom.

And… he’s asked me to fill in for him on Father’s Day at Christ’s Church.  I can’t wait.  It’s gonna be cool.

About Aaron

Aaron is a follower of Jesus. He's married to his smokin' hot wife Laura and is the father of three adorable girls. He enjoys a robust cigar, a complex root beer, a good movie, writing, football, thought-provoking books, and rousing discussions about subjects you're not supposed to talk about (like theology and politics). Religious people irritate him (because he once was one). He's on a quest to find the perfect dry rub and sauce for ribs.
