Headed South…

… to Atlantic Beach after work tomorrow.

My company doesn’t give people paid vacation time until they’ve been with the company for a year, so I’m not getting an entire week this year.  But four days is better than nothing.  We’re in a house right on the beach this year, which is great for my mom-in-law.  This is the first year we’ve gone to Atlantic Beach as opposed to the Outer Banks.  There’s a lot less to do… which is GREAT.  I don’t like running all over creation during a vacation.  The point of a vacation is to rest and relax, not come back more tired than you were when you left.  So I’m looking forward to a few days on the beach, some seafood, and a good book.

I’ve got an extremely busy day tomorrow before I head to the beach, so I’ve decided to do something that I’ve only done a handful of times since I started blogging nearly two years ago:  I’m taking an intentional break from blogging.  I’ve done so only at Christmas and Thanksgiving the last two years.  Every other day I’ve missed has been unintentional.  I’ve always prepared posts ahead of time before going on vacation, but not this week.  My brain needs a little break.

So, for the rest of this week, nothing new from me.  Take some time to go back in the archives and read some older stuff.  As for me, I’ll be chillin’ with the family in Atlantic Beach.  See you on Monday.

About Aaron

Aaron is a follower of Jesus. He's married to his smokin' hot wife Laura and is the father of three adorable girls. He enjoys a robust cigar, a complex root beer, a good movie, writing, football, thought-provoking books, and rousing discussions about subjects you're not supposed to talk about (like theology and politics). Religious people irritate him (because he once was one). He's on a quest to find the perfect dry rub and sauce for ribs.
