My Church (Part 1)

I was on Facebook last night, and noticed one of my “friends” (who I sort of knew in high school) posted a status that they had finally found a church they liked.  It was a five year old church in the city I planted Discovery in eight years ago.  It has absolutely exploded, nearing 1,000 people and just recently moved into it’s own facility.  The comments I saw underneath it were, well, bewildering.

And they might just provide a piece of the puzzle as to why growing churches grow.  And it isn’t pretty.

More on that next week.  For now, I’m late for work!

About Aaron

Aaron is a follower of Jesus. He's married to his smokin' hot wife Laura and is the father of three adorable girls. He enjoys a robust cigar, a complex root beer, a good movie, writing, football, thought-provoking books, and rousing discussions about subjects you're not supposed to talk about (like theology and politics). Religious people irritate him (because he once was one). He's on a quest to find the perfect dry rub and sauce for ribs.
