RLT Cinema: Sam Harris

Today’s features on RLT Cinema feature Sam Harris, renowned American atheist and author of the books The End of Faith and Letter to a Christian Nation (which I am currently reading and enjoying immensely).  Two of the videos deal with Harris’ views on religion and Scripture.  The other is his appearance on Real Time with Bill Maher. The reason I picked these videos is we need to be familiar with those we don’t agree with.  More importantly, if we’re seeking to help people who don’t know Jesus become followers of Jesus, we must be prepared for their questions and objections.  I’m currently reading Letter to a Christian Nation because a friend asked me to so she could dialogue with me about it, which is super cool.

So pop your popcorn, grab a soda, and enjoy any or all of the feature presentations.  The RLT Cinema video player is located in the right sidebar–simply scroll down and click on a video to play it.  When you’re finished, come back and discuss what you liked about the videos, what you disagreed with (and why), as well as how you would respond to some of Harris’ objections.

About Aaron

Aaron is a follower of Jesus. He's married to his smokin' hot wife Laura and is the father of three adorable girls. He enjoys a robust cigar, a complex root beer, a good movie, writing, football, thought-provoking books, and rousing discussions about subjects you're not supposed to talk about (like theology and politics). Religious people irritate him (because he once was one). He's on a quest to find the perfect dry rub and sauce for ribs.
