RLT Cinema: The Story of Zac Smith

I saw this video on Sunday.  It is both heart-breaking and incredibly inspiring, especially since my mom was recently diagnosed with breast cancer (she’s doing incredibly well).  Working in hospice, I interact with people like this constantly.  Watch the video (scroll down to see the VodPod player on the right), then come back and answer these questions:

  1. Why do we assume that following Jesus guarantees us a safe, comfortable existence?
  2. How can such a believe be potentially devastating?
  3. What needs to happen for us to develop a biblical view of suffering?

Have a great weekend.  I’ll be back in my old stompin’ grounds in VA from May 10-12.  But never fear–I’ve already got posts ready to go for next week!

About Aaron

Aaron is a follower of Jesus. He's married to his smokin' hot wife Laura and is the father of three adorable girls. He enjoys a robust cigar, a complex root beer, a good movie, writing, football, thought-provoking books, and rousing discussions about subjects you're not supposed to talk about (like theology and politics). Religious people irritate him (because he once was one). He's on a quest to find the perfect dry rub and sauce for ribs.
