The Most Dangerous Prayer

One of my favorite fiction stories is “The Most Dangerous Game”.  If you didn’t read it sometime during your public school education, you must have dropped out.  It’s about a big game hunter trapped on an island, himself being hunted by a deranged Russian big game hunter.  You can read it here.  I love the fact that the title of the story has a double meaning.  “The Most Dangerous Game” could refer to the most dangerous form of amusement, or the most dangerous prey to be hunted.

I think the same could be said for the statement, “The most dangerous prayer.”  It could be used to describe the most dangerous prayer someone could pray, or who is the most dangerous person praying (a pray-er).

What do I mean?  More on that tomorrow.

About Aaron

Aaron is a follower of Jesus. He's married to his smokin' hot wife Laura and is the father of three adorable girls. He enjoys a robust cigar, a complex root beer, a good movie, writing, football, thought-provoking books, and rousing discussions about subjects you're not supposed to talk about (like theology and politics). Religious people irritate him (because he once was one). He's on a quest to find the perfect dry rub and sauce for ribs.
