RLT Cinema: The Last Exorcist

The RLT Cinema player is located in the widget sidebar to the right.  Simply scroll down and click the top left video, which is the feature of today’s post.

Today’s RLT Cinema feature is the trailer for the upcoming horror movie The Last Exorcist.  It looks a lot like the movie that came out several years ago, The Exorcism of Emily Rose (which you should see–it’s excellent), but with a different twist.  In The Last Exorcist, the preacher who performs exorcisms is a con artist who finally wants to come clean.  A documentary film crew documents this man’s final exorcism, and it’s way more than they bargained for.

I’m interested to see what producer Eli Roth (director of the Hostel films and “the Bear Jew” of Inglourious Basterds) will do with a film where faith is central to the plot.  I’m not a fan of his directorial work so far, but this will be interesting.

This film seems to be an excellent chance for Christians to engage with the culture and find conversation points with people who don’t know Jesus.

About Aaron

Aaron is a follower of Jesus. He's married to his smokin' hot wife Laura and is the father of three adorable girls. He enjoys a robust cigar, a complex root beer, a good movie, writing, football, thought-provoking books, and rousing discussions about subjects you're not supposed to talk about (like theology and politics). Religious people irritate him (because he once was one). He's on a quest to find the perfect dry rub and sauce for ribs.
