Walking the Road: The Story of Guinness

I usually reserve Mondays for blog posts I’ve found interesting or helpful over the past week.  Today, however, is a little different.  I stumbled upon a great article about Arthur Guinness, founder of (yep, you guessed it) the Guinness brewery from which we now have the famous beer.  The article talked about how Arthur Guinness used his brew to improve the health and bring a greater level of sobriety to Ireland, improve the financial well-being of his employees, and improve his community.  The driving force behind his action?  His faith.

A believer who brewed beer to the glory of God and the betterment of the world?  Awesome.

So whether you enjoy Guinness or hate it, whether your drink or don’t, check out the heritage of a brew beloved the world over (click here for the article).

About Aaron

Aaron is a follower of Jesus. He's married to his smokin' hot wife Laura and is the father of three adorable girls. He enjoys a robust cigar, a complex root beer, a good movie, writing, football, thought-provoking books, and rousing discussions about subjects you're not supposed to talk about (like theology and politics). Religious people irritate him (because he once was one). He's on a quest to find the perfect dry rub and sauce for ribs.
