My Top 5 Favorite Albums: #3

The second highest selling album of all time, and the best selling album of all time by a band.  Raw blues-infused rock.  The most charismatic guitarist in rock.  One of the most unique voices in rock.  You can’t go wrong with Back in Black. Nothing but straight-up rock ‘n’ roll.  What’s amazing about this album is that it was the first one the band recorded after the death of their original frontman, Bon Scott.  New singer Brian Johnson was hired, and the rest is history.  What I like most about the album is drummer Phil Rudd, who I think is one of the best drummers in rock because of his restraint.  AC/DC’s rhythm section truly is a rhythm section. Producing such hits as Back in Black, You Shook Me, and Shoot to Thrill, this album never gets old.  If you don’t own it, you should.  Because just about everyone else on planet earth does.

Check out “Shoot to Thrill” (from the Iron Man 2 soundtrack)

About Aaron

Aaron is a follower of Jesus. He's married to his smokin' hot wife Laura and is the father of three adorable girls. He enjoys a robust cigar, a complex root beer, a good movie, writing, football, thought-provoking books, and rousing discussions about subjects you're not supposed to talk about (like theology and politics). Religious people irritate him (because he once was one). He's on a quest to find the perfect dry rub and sauce for ribs.
