RLT Cinema: HIV Positive Preacher Helps Others

The RLT Cinema player is located in the widget sidebar to the right.  The current video is today’s feature.

Today’s feature is from an article on USA Today’s website.  It is a video of a Haitian preacher working to help his own people who are HIV positive.  He does it with little pay, gives away most of what little he has to those who suffer from this disease and who are still recovering from last year’s earthquake.

He’s also HIV positive.  His wife, who infected him, left him.  He has a sister and two young children to support.  He’s also trying to raise money for his organization to continue helping HIV positive Haitian nationals.

We complain when the volume is turned up a little too loudly at church.

Watch the video, and read his story here.  And then let’s ask ourselves:  how are we being light in the midst of darkness?  How are we being Jesus to people beyond a Sunday Morning church service?

About Aaron

Aaron is a follower of Jesus. He's married to his smokin' hot wife Laura and is the father of three adorable girls. He enjoys a robust cigar, a complex root beer, a good movie, writing, football, thought-provoking books, and rousing discussions about subjects you're not supposed to talk about (like theology and politics). Religious people irritate him (because he once was one). He's on a quest to find the perfect dry rub and sauce for ribs.
